The three men responsible for the ban on liquids on airplanes have been found guilty and sentenced to significant jail time.

Frankly they deserve it, if only for the bloody inconvenience that they have successfully caused. Alas, despite the progress being made in liquid-scanning technology, I don’t anticipate the ban being lifted any time soon. I suspect that it is simply too lucrative for airports and airlines alike.
